Hareline's Tapered Synthetic Tapered Quills are made from a very thin and flexible vinyl based material. Available in a variety of hatch matching colors, each strip is tapered from an incredibly fine tip to a wider butt. Longer in length than natural peacock, goose, or turkey, they enable fly tiers to basically wrap the body on virtually any pattern imaginable, from from the tiniest flies in the #20's and smaller, to your largest/longest fly patterns. With an amazingly detailed gradient print too, each quill exhibits one dark edge and one light edge, a trait you can't even get regularly from a natural quill. A great match for almost any pattern from midges, buzzers, nymphs, your favorite dries and more, these quills won't crack, break, or split leaving you with a failing fly at the worst possible time. With no soaking or pre-treatment needed either, these quills will change your entire view on the hassle of using natural quill bodies!
