Perdigons were first developed by the Spanish competition team but have since become incredibly popular and are now integral to fly boxes of tyers and anglers worldwide. A Perdigon fly typically is easy to tie and is designed to sink quickly. But you need a good selection of colors that have the right effect for the perfect Perdigon, which is why Semperfli's Perdigon Body was developed!
Superior to other tinsels, Semperfli's Perdigon Body is more translucent, iridescent, and luminous in color than others, making your Perdigon's a clear winner.
Ideally suited for use on hook sizes 16-20, this fine stranded material can still be used on larger flies by simply adding more wraps. You can even use Semperfli's Perdigon Body over a base color to enhance your fly, or highlight your nymph by wrapping it as a rib.
Available in a range of wonderful colors, Semperfli's Perdigon Body Material measures 1/69 inches (0.4mm) wide, and comes neatly wound on 32-yard spools.
