Specially designed with a mix of both natural and synthetic materials, Semperfli's exciting new Dirty Bug Yarn was born from intense research of different popular dubbings. When they realised that many traditional dubbings were often 'singular' in color, Semperfli quickly recognized that Nature is seldom monochromatic! Take for example a living beatis nymph. While they may appear predominantly 'olive' in colour, look closely and you're sure to see a wide array of many colors truly animating the hue! That is why Semperfli's Dirty Bug Yarns blend many colors together in one, making your patterns look more realistic and fish even better.
Expertly blended with superb consistency, Semperfli's Dirty Bug Yarn is multi-stranded and easy to separate. This feature enables creative fly tiers to mix and match individual strands from different colored spools, to create even more unique and deadly results.
Great not only for nymphs, it is worth noting that Dirty Bug Yarn does trap air, so it can be used on emergent or 'damp' flies where you need a neutral buoyancy too. It will take and hold floatant as well.
