Designed specifically for tying midges, emergers, smaller dry flies and more, SemperFli's Classic Waxed 12/0 Thread (approx. 70-denier) is ideally suited for use on hooks size 10 to 20. Many tyers are moving to Semperfli's 12/0 thread in preference to traditional 8/0 because it is still strong with a breaking strain of 489gm (17.25oz); but presents a thinner profile than competing threads. SemperFli's Classic Waxed Thread 12/0 is unique because it lays flat with its special two core construction, and can easily be split to create dubbing loops too. Among the strongest threads available, SemperFli worked with their Pro Team to get the correct amount of wax on each 12/0 thread, ensuring it holds materials superbly, but won't cake inside or clog your bobbin holder. Having developed and manufactured their own computerised spooling machinery, SemperFli's Classic Waxed Thread 12/0 is expertly wound onto the spool with successive touching turns in a totally level traverse, ensuring fly tiers will not get a frustrating birds nest when tying their flies!
