Ushered into the next decade with key design improvements, the updated 2024 edition Battenkill reel features the same proven reliability and a workhorse nature we've come to trust and love, but now with enhanced tighter tolerances for even smoother operation and updated facets of design like improved hand feel, a curved reelfoot that won't kink leaders, and handsome new finish colors that better complement the aesthetic of Superfine, Classic Bamboo, or even freshwater Helios and Recon series fly rods. Available in three sizes, every Battenkill reel is built of 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum with an ergonomic Delrin handle, and changing from left to right hand retrieve is simple.
